Ice cream waffle, anybody? |
Life is not complete if you haven't eat some good food. That's what I think. I know I don't have much money left but eating good food sometime relieves stress too. And by the way, food can be a good object for taking pictures too. And that is foodgraphy!
If you confused, foodgraphy means the art of taking photography of foods. Just like toygraphy and so on. Foodgraphy of course specialize in pictures of food. If you look at instagram, the tags will be #instafood, #foodgram, #foodporn, and more. Well, it's called photography if you got that kind of 'artsy' feeling in the picture, or that's what I think though haha.
Still confused? Then I'll tell you some tricks of taking pictures of food~
Well first, you must know how to light your food. If you don't choose the right angle to take the picture of it, the picture will be dark or sometimes got blurred. So you have to choose the right angle for the best light. And of course try taking some pictures from different angles then choose for the best shot,
Second, arrange your food! If it's from the cafe or restaurant, try to arrange the spoon or fork a little bit so it looks nice and yummy. If it's food you made on your own, then arrange it as nice as possible so it can be a good shot. And once again, try experimenting with the arrangements.
And the last, have fun! Don't be so serious about it, just enjoy the process! You eat the food after taking pictures right? So maybe try eating it a little bit and then take a picture of it. It might be a good shot too. Or try take pictures every bite you ate and the combine it into a video or something. It would be cool ^^
I don't know why, lately I love taking pictures of the food I ate. The good one. That waffle shot was taken today and it was so yummy and very different from any other waffles I've ever eat. Taking pictures of it was fun too, plus the place was great. Would love to take more pictures of good foods I eat in the future. Hopefully I have some extra money for that haha.
Well once again, don't be afraid experimenting with things and try to take pictures from different angles. That's the key of taking good pictures! No matter who you are, no matter what your camera is, you can be a photographer just like the pro does. ^^b
